In Ghost Colours
An innovative re-design for the album sleeve of CUT /// COPY's In Ghost Colours LP. Inspired by CUT /// COPY's euphoric and melodic music, night-shot light based photography techniques were employed to create the magical, almost mysteriously fantasy imagery.Creating 3 'light saber' instruments using PC cabinet lights and a bit of custom wiring coupled with old bike lights and torches allowed this experimental cover to really take off. Inspired by the work of Noah Harris (Talk Talk adverts) and Litchfactor, I felt that the visual chemistry created by 'light painting' really summed up the 'In Ghost Colours' LP. In Ghost Colours is a euphoric mix of eighties synth pop and modern electro indie, which inspired me to think of images of Tibetan monastery cut off from the world in the Alps, and encounters of the third kind or mystical magical going's on from deep within natural surroundings. These sleeves are representational of the thoughts and feelings this album gives me, maybe you should give it a listen?

- Photoshoot
- This location night time photo shoot utilized custom made 'light sabers' made from Cold Cathode PC Cabinet lights rewired to battery packs and wooden strips cut to size. Thanks to Litchfactor (http://www.behance.net/LICHTFAKTOR) for the brief outline of how to go about getting hold of the items required to make one of these.
After locations were scouted, I took my photographer Jo Pledger (http://www.behance.net/jopledger) and two volunteers out to these locations to perform a series of experimental shots specifically designed for this CUT /// COPY album sleeve. These were some of the best results.

- A special thanks to Craig Riley, Eva Kadar and Litchfactor.
